Meet the Team: Florencia Ragazzi, driving people and culture as HR Coordinator

At Softensity, our team thrives on strong collaboration and leadership. In this interview, we explore how Flor’s role helps foster a supportive and effective company culture.

How long have you been with Softensity, and what is your current role since the recent change?

I have been working at Softensity since July 2022, starting as an IT Recruiter. In June 2024, I had the opportunity to expand my responsibilities to include HR. My new role is HR Coordinator, where I oversee onboarding, offboarding, performance evaluations, and initiatives related to team members wellbeing.

How do you ensure that the HR policies you implement are aligned with the company’s culture and evolving needs?

First, it’s essential to understand the company’s mission, vision, values, goals, and strategy, as well as how departments interact and operate. With these insights, I design initiatives and write policies that help the company grow while ensuring alignment across teams. Additionally, collaborating with Danny, the President of Softensity, and all the leaders from different departments has been invaluable in staying aligned with the company’s objectives.

What strategies do you use to maintain effective communication and build strong relationships with employees across different departments?

This requires consistent effort and collaboration with the company’s leadership to lead by example. At Softensity, where a significant portion of the workforce operates remotely, we’ve created technical communities to foster strong relationships across departments. These communities play a key role in maintaining connections and encouraging collaboration.

What’s your experience working on an international team?

I really enjoy working with international teams. It offers the opportunity to learn from diverse cultures, problem-solving approaches, and best practices. Personally, as a non-native English speaker, one of my professional goals was to work in an English-speaking environment. I’m happy to have achieved this and continue to enjoy the learning process.

What does a normal day in your life look like as a HR Coordinator?

In HR, anything and everything can happen—it’s a role full of surprises! My day typically involves balancing the priorities of HR and recruitment based on the needs and workload. Flexibility and adaptability are essential, as no two days are the same. I always try to find solutions that meets both the the team members and Softensity needs.
